At Last!
written by JimM, February 23, 2008

At last a site to name and shame!

Perhaps in a while the beeps of an SMS being received on our cellphones will actually be worth reading and not Spam!

Good Luck!

Banks and cellphones
written by mischief, February 25, 2008
Don't give your bank a cellphone number (unless you need it for internet banking).

They love having outside agencies sell you stuff over the phone on behalf of the bank, usually a funeral policy or something. When you say you'll check it out in the branch, they say "it's only for telephonic deals", even if you tell them you'll make sure the commission goes their way with their rep number or whatever. They wont even send the docs so that you can look it over in your own time and phone them back. I hate all of them and especially the bank everytime I get one of those calls.

Why does the bank allow that? They say they're trying to stop fraud, but they encourage people to phone and ask for your personal details over the phone. To hell with the banks!!!

Besides, your bank manager shouldn't know how to reach you either, when your overdraft is too large. smilies/wink.gif

It would be nice if we can get an anonymous insider from a Bank to comment on this one concerning the tele marketing...Frank

Data Protection
written by JimM, February 25, 2008

One thing that I miss from my native UK is the "Data Protection Act" which makes it illegal to pass on personal data without written consent from the person concerned. This can only be bypassed by authorities like the Police and Inland Revenue - Which for most people is not a problem!

Spammers - built up a reputation ?
written by corne, February 25, 2008
It's quite interesting how frequently some of our spammers feature on google. You'd be surprised to see all the complaints lodged against some of these companies.

Even on HelloPeter. smilies/shocked.gif

Also Spammed by Junkmail
written by perasmu02, March 18, 2008
I placed a Ad in the Auto Trader and within the first week of publication a rep phoned me asking to put my ad with color photo in the Junkmail. He said that I need not worry about the photo and detail, because he already has it.Damnnnnn !
He also did not want to except no for an answer, hassling me. I put the phone down.
